Northside Feature To Aahm Cruisin

Anthony Beaton’s Aahm Cruisin rallied from off the pace to deliver on his pari-mutuel promise in the $1,000 Winners Over Pace at Northside Downs on Saturday

Driven by regular reinsman Gary Delaney, the eight-year-old son of Armbro Cruiser-Aahm A Jewel sat fourth for most of the mile before unleashing a :29.4 final frame, which catapulted him to the lead. Aahm Cruisin ($4.60) won by over two lengths in 1:58. Colum Magic (Kevin Bailey) finished second after making the first over sacrifice at three-quarters while Woodmere Westerner (Greg Sparling) rallied three-wide from last to come on for third. Cruisinart (Mike Heffernan), who carved out fractions of :28.4, :58 and 1:28, ended up fourth.

Louis Beaton trains Aahm Cruisin, who notched his 10th win of the year in 33 starts and pushed his earnings to $8,799. The brown gelding now boasts 36 victories on his lifetime record with earnings totaling $105,086.
