The first of two Forest City Yearling Sale sessions was held Saturday at the Western Fair Agriplex in London, Ont. with Nitro Seelster bringing in the highest bid of the day at $150,000

Nitro Seelster, selling as Hip 71, was purchased by Fiddlers Creek Stables of Michigan. Consigned by Seelster Farms, the bay son of Camluck is the first foal out of the Western Hanover mare No Strikes Against - a full sister to one of harness racing's newest world record holders, Strike An Attitude.
Massive Man, Hip 39, garnered a bid of $95,000, by agent Tony Alagna for John Carver of Illinois. Consigned by agent Kentuckiana Farms for Meadow Creek Farm, the bay son of Muscle Mass is the fifth foal out of the Super Bowl mare Gasconne Hanover.
Ok Fantastic, Hip 69, was sold for $85,000. The Mardon Stables of Loretto, Ont. purchased the brown colt from the Oak Knoll Stables consignment. The son of Mach Three is the first foal out of the Jennas Beach Boy mare Fanciful.
A total of 123 yearlings were sold during the first session for $3,021,500, with the average price at $24,565. Trotting colts (18 sold) had the highest average price at $28,333, followed by pacing colts (47 sold) at $27,553, pacing fillies (37 sold) at $21,365, and trotting fillies (21 sold) at $20,286.
