World Cup Tops Day 2 In Lexington

The second of five 2010 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale sessions took place Thursday night at the Fasig-Tipton Sale Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky with World Cup garnering the highest bid of the day at $200,000

.

Selling as Hip 200, World Cup was purchased by Lindy Racing Stable of Enfield Connecticut from Kentuckiana Farms. The son of Yankee Glide-Sheena Hall is the full brother to Margarita Momma (1:53.4 - $612,262).

A total of 154 yearlings were sold for over $7 million producing an average price of just over $45,000.

The sale continues on Friday night at 7 p.m. featuring Hips 259 - 427.
