Driver Pascal Berube won early and often during Thursday’s 11-race card at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
The veteran reinsman took down the opener with Archimed Alpha in 1:59.2 and he returned to victory lane in Race 3 thanks to an easy triumph with Cloud Nine Hanover in 1:57.3.
He came right back to take Race 4 with Battle With Desire in 1:57.2 and then clicked with Saulsbrook Velveta in Race 6 in a time of 1:55.4. He capped off his productive day at the office by capturing Race 10 with Village Jamie in 1:57.
Berube, a career winner of 2,745 races and purse earnings in excess of $9.4 million, pushed his seasonal win total to 119 with the five-win performance. Berube currently holds down second place in the drivers’ standings at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
