Marietta Hall and Dingle Bay captured the Open I Handicap and Open II Paces, respectively, Wednesday, October 14 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs

Driven by Andrew McCarthy and trained by Tracy Brainard, Marietta Hall scored a wire-to-wire victory in the $30,000 Open I Handicap Pace. The five-year-old Cambest mare took the field the seven-horse field to the opening quarter in :26.3, half in :56.4 and three-quarters in 1:24.2 with Dont Deny Me (Mike Simons) sitting second for the first three splits.
Finishing second was Twin Oaks Tess (Larry Stalbaum) with third-place going to Jason Bartlett and Mach You And Me.
This was the third straight win for Marietta Hall and eighth on the season with earnings of more than $165,000.

In the $22,000 Open II Pace it also was a front-end victory for Dingle Bay, who was taken to the lead right from the start with Greg Grismore in the sulky. Ron Burke trains this three-year-old Mcardle filly, a winner of seven of 25 starts in 2009.
Billie Bluechip (Joe Pavia, Jr.), the race favourite at 6-5, with Dingle Bay second choice at 9-5, sat second throughout the mile with the splits reading :26.3, :56.3 and 1:25.3 before Dingle Bay won by three-quarters of a length.
Third in this race was Diva Delight (Andrew McCarthy).
Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and Louis Starr, Jr., all of Pennsylvania, and JJ Stables of Florida, own Dingle Bay.
