The post position gods were kind to Acceptable Risk going into his assignment at Grand River Raceway on Monday evening, and the veteran pacer had no problem capitalizing on the situation

.

Acceptable Risk shot to immediate command from the pole position for driver Trevor Henry, and once he made the lead he turned out the lights on the seven foes he squared off with in the $11,000 Preferred-2 tilt.

The seven-year-old son of Intrepid Seelster sliced out splits of :27.2, :57.1 and 1:25.3 before stepping home in :29.2 to seal the deal in an eye-catching clocking of 1:55. It was 1-1/2 lengths back to runner-up Red Star Killer, and another quarter of a length to third-place finisher Lookin For A Fight.

Dan Morrissey trains the O.S.S. graduate who races for the partnership of David Morrissey of Ailsa Craig and Dan McCann and William Woodburn of Parkhill, ON. The victory was the pacer’s ninth of the season and the 37th of his career. He has managed to stash away $563,604 along the way.
