Trainer Blair Laffin and driver Robert Laffin each had a very productive Thanksgiving Day at Truro Raceway thanks to a string of wins on the 14-race card

.

They teamed up to win three races and Robert added another catch-driving score to bring his daily win total to four on the matinee program.

Blair and Robert clicked for their first win with Heart Stealer, who front-stepped to a 2:03.4 score in Race 5. That pacer’s stablemates, Gonzenbach (1:59.3) and Lady Gi Gi (2:00), also visited victory lane for that trainer/driver in Races 11 and 12.

Blair Laffin’s three-win performance gives him a commanding lead in the trainers’ standings at Truro Raceway. He has sent out 42 winners to secure the top spot, with Kenneth Greene holding down the second spot by virtue of the 20 winners he has sent out.

Robert Laffin, who scored his other Monday victory with the William Baker-trained Hez Classy (2:02) in Race 7, finds himself right in the hunt for the driving title at Truro Raceway this season. His four-win day allowed him to leap-frog past Todd Trites (41 wins) for second-place in the standings. Laffin sits with 42 wins – just four wins behind the leader Darren Crowe (46 wins).
