Robert Stevenson's Singing Saint won the featured $19,200 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.
The race was named in honour of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, a non-profit organization aimed at increasing awareness for breast cancer in The First State. Volunteers from the DBCC were on hand selling harness horse bracelets and other miscellaneous merchandise, with proceeds benefiting the DBCC. The aforementioned Singing Saint, a six-year-old Lis Mara gelding, notched his seventh win of the year for his owner/trainer Stevenson, courtesy of a fierce charge in the stretch that catapulted him and driver Tony Morgan to the win. Little Ben was second, with Special T Rocks third.
Singing Saint returned $9.80 for the win.
Montrell Teague and Bret Brittingham each had three winners on the program.
