Delaware-sired two-year-olds will be showcased in four $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) finals Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Harrington Raceway.

The pacing colts and geldings will go postward in Race 3, which starts the first leg of the Early Pick 4 (Races 3-6). A showdown between Leonard Hubbard’s Leonards Legacy (9/5, Jon Roberts) and Henry Faragalli III, Nanticoke Racing, Arthur Feeney and Daniel Doane’s American Nitro (8/5, Victor Kirby) is expected after both swept their eliminations impressively. Leonards Legacy is a Tobago Cays colt trained by Nick Callahan, while Les Givens trains the Badlands Nitro gelding, American Nitro.

The trotting fillies are next in Race 4 as Ed Kimmel and Don Wiest’s Orabelle (7/5, Tony Morgan) aims for a third-straight victory. The Keystone Activator filly won both of her eliminations for trainer Wiest. Mark King’s Dabigspooky Bootah (9/1, Kirby) is one of two other elimination winner in the group. The He’s Spooky filly was victorious last week for trainer/owner King. Linda Mac Donald’s Stella A (3/1, Ross Wolfenden) had a win and third in her eliminations for trainer Joe Mac Donald. The Anders Bluestone filly is making her third career start.

Race 8 will feature the trotting colts and geldings as dual elimination winners Touch Of White (8/5, Corey Callahan) and Rod Allen’s Zulu (3/1, Allen) will square off. Touch Of White is owned by Breakaway Racing and is sired by Keystone Activator, while Zulu is a CR Commando gelding trained and driven by owner Allen.

Filly pacers will go to the gate in Race 10 as Givens-trained Bag Of Jewels (7/5, Victor Kirby) aims for a third-straight victory for owners Faragalli, Feeney, Bay Pond Racing and Bonucelli Racing. The Roddys Bags Again filly comfortably won her eliminations and is the only filly in the field with three career wins. Owner-trainer Brenda Teague’s Shes Got The Lynx (7/2, Montrell Teague), sired by Southwind Lynx, and Legacy Racing of Delaware’s Cinder Rock (3/1, Allan Davis) – a daughter of Rockabillie trained by Wayne Givens - each won eliminations and will look to upend the thwart Bag Of Jewels’ bid for a series sweep.

The 15-race program starts at 4:30 p.m. and also features three $15,000 consolation events and a $20,000 Open Trot.
