Trailing by seven and a half lengths at the half, Macharoundtheclock unleashed her characteristic late rally to capture Friday’s $16,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred Pace at The Meadows.
Macharoundtheclock, a former Battle of the Belles champion, was next to last when Eric Ledford asked her for pace. Despite a wide journey through the lane, she downed the first-over Novascotia Hanover by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.2. Doubelieveinmagic finished third.
Tim Twaddle currently trains Macharoundtheclock, a five-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Summers Soul who extended her career bankroll to $389,647, for Birnam Wood Farms. It was one of three wins on the 15-race card for Ledford.
