2011 marked a lot of fantastic milestones for the harness racing industry including the much anticipated birth of the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club.

Over the past six months, the Fan Club team has attended the most celebrated harness racing events across North America. The team was cheering in purple for San Pail’s historic third Maple Leaf Trot win, travelled 800 kilometres with 30 die-hard racing fans to be in the winner’s circle when Jody Jamieson won the 2011 World Driving Championship, and threw on their cowboy hats and boots at the Canadian Country Music Awards Fan Fest.

The team was at Woodbine Racetrack when Casie Coleman, Jody Jamieson, Mark MacDonald, San Pail and Randy Waples celebrated their coveted Breeders Crown victories, cheered for Scott Zeron after his Battle of Waterloo triumph, and celebrated with Mark MacDonald at the Gold Cup & Saucer. And that’s only the beginning!

A special thank you goes out to all of our Faces of Racing including Marc Campbell, Casie Coleman, Jody Jamieson, Mark MacDonald, Doug McNair, Randy Waples, Scott Zeron, and San Pail. You are all such great ambassadors and we appreciate your efforts in promoting our sport to Canada and the world. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The Fan Club is already over 3,000 members strong and the teams looks forward to more events and great racing experiences in 2012, so be sure to stay tuned.
