Trainer Lance Ward began the year and Northlands Park’s winter harness meet on a productive note
with four wins on Wednesday night.
With John Chappell in the bike, Red Star Ginny (1:59.3) was placed first in Race 6 putting an end to Farrah Fiddle's five-win streak. In the following race, Bette Blue Chip (1:58.4) wired the field for her second consecutive win with Bill Tainsh Jr. in tow. Tainsh also guided Cam Houston (1:57.4) to his fourth straight victory in Race 8.
The resident of Sherwood Park, Alberta capped off the evening with yet another triumph in Race 10. Keith Clark guided Promise Big Miles (2:00.3) to victory in his respective assignment.
Ward has recorded 256 career wins and is nearing the $1.5 million dollar mark in purse earnings.
