The BC Standardbred Breeders Society is offering quality broodmares in foal to top stallions at the January Broodmare and Mixed sale, which takes place this afternoon in the Fraser Downs paddock at 1:00 p.m.
Three quality mares purchased by the BCSBS at the Harrisburg Sale, Four Starz Angel, Hanks Girl and Arzu Hanover are the small catalogue highlights.
Four Starz Angel, a daughter of Artiscape, is from the Presidential Ball mare Angel Be Better. Four Starz Angel is being offered in foal to The Panderosa. The foal is very closely related to Brandons Cowboy.
Hanks Girl, by Artsplace and out of the Storm Damage mare Villa Storm, is being sold in foal to New York stallion Bettors Delight with the stud fee refundable if there is no live foal. The foal carries the same cross that produced millionaire racehorses Kenneth J and Southwind Tempo.
Arzu Hanover is by The Panderosa and out of the Artsplace mare Articize. She is carrying her second foal which is by Village Jolt (1:50.4).
The sale catalogue also includes BC stallion Lo Siento and other mares and racehorses.
