Grace Rocks blitzed the back half in:55.1 and scored a convincing victory in Wednesday’s 2023 Opening Day feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $19,300 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace.
Taking advantage of a field reduced by scratches to four, Grace Rocks zipped to the lead from post three for Ridge Warren, enjoying a sensible :56.1 first half. The six-year-old daughter of Rockin Image Cosmic Grace was untouchable from there, triumphing in 1:51.2. Irish Daydream rallied for second, four lengths back, with the first-over Chase Lounge third.
Jamal Williams trains Grace Rocks, who now boasts a career bankroll of $391,015, for Howard Taylor.
