Visible Gold roared to the front from post nine and easily captured his second straight victory in Friday’s $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Although Visible Gold needed a :27.1 opening panel to secure the lead, Dave Palone was able to throw on the brakes and negotiate the second quarter in :29.4. That was the only breather the six-year-old Bettors Delight-Gabrielle gelding needed, as he downed the pocket-sitting Eddie Sweat by one and a quarter lengths in 1:52. Drumfire A finished third.
Ron Burke trains Visible Gold, who now boasts career earnings of $211,030, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and RTC Stables.
The win was one of four on the 14-race card for Palone.
