Sand E Fiftyfive has quietly been winning races

The mare's January 30 triumph at Monticello Raceway marked her seventh victory in a row.
The six-year-old I Am A Fool distaffer was racing with a $6,000 claiming tag and was driven to victory by Billy Dobson when she extended her streak to seven. Sand E Fiftyfive defeated McDonna by one length in a time of 1:58.4 on January 30.
“She’s been a nice mare her whole life, winning over $224,000 and taking a 1:55 mark at the Meadows as a two-year-old," trainer Billy Kapinos noted. “Her 1:56:3 win [at Monticello] in late November was [the] fastest of her seven wins last year.”
