Former Woodbine Entertainment broadcaster Chris Connor discussed his time at WEG with his hometown newspaper the day before one of his telecasts goes into the O'Brien Award ceremony as a finalist in the inaugural Media Excellence Awards.

The Daily Gleaner's Bill Hunt talked to the popular Connor about his life in Toronto, being a finalist in the media category and what it's like to be home in Fredericton, NB.

Wishing you all the very best Chris!
I thank you for the fantastic job you did on all the telecasts & I (& others in my family) will certainly miss you ... & hopefully we will see you on some future harness racing broadcasts from the Maritimes.
May you enjoy every minute back at home with your parents & other family members (you deserve it).
