It has been announced that the first foal by 2017 Pepsi North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon p,3,1:48.4s ($1,720,297) has arrived.
Anvil and Lace Farm of Cynthiana, Kentucky is proud to announce that the first foal by Fear The Dragon was delivered at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25.
The newborn grey filly is out of the Cambest mare Calvados Hall, a sibling to five winners of $200,000 or more. That list includes Calvados Hall's half-brother, Camelot Hall, who won the final of the 2003 Metro Pace on his way to $856,639 in career earnings, and her full sister Castanet Hall, who won the 2001 Kentucky Sires Stakes Three-Year-Old Filly Pace final on her way to $594,429 in earnings.
Fear The Dragon, the multiple Grand Circuit-winning son of Dragon Again, posted marks of 1:50.3f at two and 1:48.4 at three, and amassed career earnings of $1,720,297. His other major victories this year at three included the $500,000 Max Hempt Memorial (elimination and final), the $400,000 Adios (elimination and final), the $206,000 Tattersalls Pace, and the first heat of the $500,000 Little Brown Jug.
