During what was a very solid career on the track, Haras Colta Cola had an eye for the finish line. Now after a surprise injury, the 10-year-old Armbro Operative colt is living out a well-deserved retirement at the place he loves best: home

.

A report by Tom Wolski in today's edition of the Vancouver Province delves into the career of Haras Colta Cola, who over a 157-race career assembled a sturdy resume which read 31 wins, 33 second and 17 thirds, good for over $295,000 in purses.

As gritty and blue collar as they come, the gelding won the hearts of his breeders over the years. Owners Janet and Paul Harrison acknowledge in the article that Haras Colta Cola has been so good to them over the course of his career. When it was discovered that the gelding suffered a serious eye injury which left him blind in an eye, his fate was a no-brainer.

"…We felt this was an opportune time to retire him and let him spend the rest of his life on the farm," said Paul.
