Ladies From Hell gained early control of the field going for $12,000 in the featured conditioned claiming pace for fillies and mares at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and she never looked back as she burned rubber all the way to a 5-1/2-length score.
Garrett Rooney pointed Ladies From Hell out of the gate in post four and she responded with a burst to the front. The Michael Sumner student maintained a precise 1-3/4-length advantage as she tapped out the quarters in :28.3, :59.1 and 1:28.4. With gas left in the tank, Ladies From Hell exploded into a 5-1/2-length triumph in 1:58.2. Fated Fire (Daryl Thiessen) grabbed second and Sports Duchess (Travis Henry) completed the show ticket.
Ladies From Hell is an 11-year-old daughter of Classic Card Shark and the Artsplace mare Jennys Place. She is co-owned by Michael and Shae Sumner and sports a new $304,551 lifetime sum from a record of 47-43-33 in 204 starts. In 2024, the mare won 11 races and amassed $60,389, leading to an award-winning campaign as Western Fair's Older Pacing Mare of the Year.
Sent postward at 5-1 odds, Ladies From Hell produced an $11.50 ticket to win.
