One of the rising stars among the driving colony on the Chicagoland harness racing scene, Marcus Miller, will be the subject of a feature to be aired by Comcast SportsNet Chicago on Friday, January 29, 2010.
The personable 20-year-old native of Springfield, Illinois who was also recently featured in a wonderful two-page story by respected racing writer Neil Milbert in the Chicago Tribune will have his hectic student-by-day-standardbred-driver-by-night lifestyle detailed by veteran Comcast reporter Josh Mora.
The special segment -- which was filmed on a day in which Miller started his day with morning qualifiers at Balmoral Park, then headed back to DePaul’s campus for class before returning back to Balmoral for the opener of the 2010 season -- details the daily grind Miller puts himself through in order to achieve his dream of becoming a top-ranked driver while still pursuing his degree in marketing.
The feature on Miller will appear during Comcast’s Sports Nite, which airs at 6:30 p.m. central. It is also repeated at 10:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and midnight.
Comcast SportsNet Chicago can be found in the Chicagoland area on Comcast cable systems channels 37 & 200. Nationally it appears on Direct TV channel 665 and Dish Network channel 429.
