Zeron Wins Five At Flamboro

Driver Scott Zeron started the Friday night card at Flamboro Downs a winner and ended it a winner, compiling five victories in total during the 12-race program

.

The resident of Oakville, Ont. won the first race with Survivalizm ($3.20) for trainer Sue Gangell to kick off his big night. That win was followed by victories in the third race with Beach Plum ($3.50) for Stephen Doyle, the sixth race with Out The Blue ($4.90) for Steve Watson, the ninth race with A Sudden Twist ($12.30) for Victor Puddy, and the finale with Shes Got Legs ($7) for Richard McNeill.

Zeron, an O'Brien Award finalist for Driver of the Year, was the nation's leading reinsman last season with 606 wins. He has won 56 times so far in 2011 and currently holds the lead in the drivers standings.

The 2010 O'Brien Award winners will be announced tomorrow evening at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel in Mississauga, Ont. Prior to the Black Tie Gala, Zeron will appear on Saturday's installment of 'The Sports Guys,' at 10 a.m. (ET) to 12 noon from The Texas Longhorn, located at 803 Dundas Street E. in Mississauga, Ont. The show can be heard live on mtsr.ca and is hosted by Jim Tatti and Perry Lefko.

Zeron will be joined by Jerome 'The Junkyard Dog' Williams, Noel Prefontaine, Omar Moreno, and Alex Seixeiro for the segment.
