McNiven Elected SC Chair

On Friday, January 28, Standardbred Canada elected its Officers & Executive Committee for 2011, Tammy McNiven was elected as the Chair of Standardbred Canada

"I'm thrilled to be the Chair of Standardbred Canada," McNiven told Trot Insider. "The environment in the world of harness racing is changing. We need an executive that is dedicated to facilitate these changes and grow our industry. I'm honoured to be at the helm."

Elected to office are:

• Tammy McNiven (Chair of Board)

• Doug McIntosh (Vice-Chair)

• Dr. Mitch Downey (Chair of Breeders Committee)

• Bob Roach (Executive Committee)

• Chris Roberts (Executive Committee Member)

• Richard Veilleux (Executive Committee Member)
