Trailing by 7-1/2 lengths at the half, Sandbetweenmytoes followed live first-over cover and roared through the stretch to capture Friday’s (Jan. 27) $19,300 Open Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Once Brady Brown tipped him three wide into the final turn, the six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Galleria gelding was much the best, defeating the rallying Carolina Beach by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:52.1. A Fair Ol Dance N completed the ticket.
Dirk Simpson trains Sandbetweenmytoes, who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $643,910, for Greg Luther Racing LLC.
Dave Palone collected four wins and Ronnie Wrenn Jr. had three on the 13-race card.
