Image Of Dawn Retired, To Stud

Millionaire pacer Image Of Dawn has been retired and will commence stallion duty for the 2014 breeding season.

An $85,000 yearling, Image Of Dawn won 63 races over his career. At two, he was a winner of a Kentucky Sire Stakes division in 1:52.3; at three he took his record of 1:50.4 winning another KYSS event and he and also captured an elimination of the Art Rooney (second in the final) at Yonkers Raceway. As an aged pacer he won the Yonkers open five times, the Dover Downs' Preferred three times as well as an Open at The Meadowlands for ten-year-olds and up.

Image Of Dawn won on all track sizes and in 367 lifetime starts finished in the top 42 per cent of the time.

A son of Life Sign, Image Of Dawn is out of the 100 per cent producing Jate Lobell mare Clear Copy. From nine foals she has nine winners, six of them earning over $100,000 including Have No Secrets p,3,1:51 ($238,641) -- the dam of Tell All p, 3, 1:48.3 -'07 ($1,568,183).

Image Of Dawn will stand stud at Jamie MacKinley's Double J Farms in Cornwall, P.E.I. for a fee of $1,000 (live foal) with multiple mare and loyalty discounts available. With earnings in excess of $1.2-million, Image Of Dawn becomes the richest stallion in Atlantic Canada.
