Call Me Yours kicked away from her fellow female Preferred pacers to score her second consecutive open-length victory at Western Fair Raceway on Wednesday

Leaving from Post 4 in the $12,600 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace, Call Me Yours tucked into fifth and watched Shellace (Mike Whelan) and Elm Grove Ilse (Trevor Henry) trade turns on the lead through opening fractions of :28 and :58.3.
Driver Dave Wall shot Call Me Yours three-wide and rolled to command during the third interval. She checked in at the three-quarters mark in 1:27.2 with a two and a half length lead over her six rivals.
Call Me Yours opened up five lengths in the stretch and soared to victory in 1:56.4. Chief Karen (Doug McNair) rallied for second and Elm Grove Ilse rounded out the top three.
Call Me Yours paid $3.50 to win as the popular choice. The six-year-old Your Nemesis-Lucky Call mare is now two-for-three in 2011 with $14,760 earned. She picked up her 23rd career win and pushed her earnings to over $350,000 for trainer, owner and breeder Stephen Gillard of Tavistock, Ont.
