Go Go Raider Rallies For Meadows Win

Trailing by eight lengths at the half, Go Go Raider launched his customary late rally that erased the deficit and carried him to victory in Monday’s $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows

Go Go Raider was sitting seventh when Eric Ledford sent him on his wide journey that took him to fourth at the top of the stretch. The six-year-old Keystone Raider-Costly Toy gelding persevered through the lane, scoring in 1:52.2. Handsome Prince, the 4-5 favoruite, weaved his way through late traffic to finish second, 1-1/4 lengths back, with Report For Duty N third.

Kris Rickert trains Go Go Raider, who extended his career bankroll to $225,208, for Dale Wareham and Mark Jakubik.

Tony Hall and Dave Palone each drove four winners while Aaron Merriman enjoyed a three-bagger on the 15-race card. Hall’s haul left him with 2,999 career victories.
