Clinton Raceway has been nominated for the Tourism Goderich Hospitality Business Award by the Huron Chamber of Commerce

for Goderich, Central and North Huron.

The Tourism Goderich Hospitality Business Award is one of 10 awards that will be presented at the 2012 Spirit of Success Awards banquet on January 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Presented to a hospitality sector business that demonstrates excellence in customer service on a consistent basis, the Tourism Goderich Hospitality Business Award recipient must be community minded and supportive while always creating a special customer experience.

Among Clinton’s community contributions include hosting its highly respected Legends Day event, which brings together the local community and the legends of harness racing to help benefit the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, and Horsin Around For Childhood Cancer in support of Childcan, an organization that helps support families whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer. The track also hosted a Charity Driver's Challenge, which supported the local high school, Central Huron Secondary School.

"It's an honour just to be nominated, cliche, I know, but we strive to create a positive experience for all of our customers, and to have an equally positive impact on our community," Clinton's Marketing Manager Jessica Carnochan told Trot Insider. "To be recognized by the business association is a success in itself. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for a win though!"

Other nominees for the award include Bedford Hotel, Goderich Grill, J's Bistro, Rob Reid McDonald's, The Benmiller Inn & Spa, and Woodland Links.
