Pembrook Legacy N made every pole a winning one en route to victory in the $11,000 Preferred Pace on Monday, Jan. 22 at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
Lorne House and his student cleared the lead from the rail and kept going through panels in :28.4, 1:00 and 1:28.3. Ideal Perception (Anthony Haughan) popped the pocket and gave chase down the lane, but Pembrook Legacy N continued on to win by a half length in 1:58. Heza Handy Man (Michael Horner) completed the top three.
Samuel Taylor owns Pembrook Legacy N (Bettors Delight-Pembrook Milly Mae), who recorded his first win of 2024 and 23rd career win from 84 starts. The 11-year-old New Zealand gelding now has $169,188 banked. As the 4-1 third choice, he returned $10.10 to win.
