Seemingly blocked through the final turn, Friskie All Nite found an unexpected path to the Lightning Lane, and a 12-1 upset in Friday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, an $11,200 conditioned pace.
Friskie All Nite was pinned to the pylons with no apparent way out when Won Last Feeling immediately in front of him pulled the pocket. Brady Brown took full advantage and urged Friskie All Nite to the 1:53.1 victory. Early leader Western Tyrant was second by a nose with Won Last Feeling third.
Jack Smith trains the five-year-old Feelin Friskie-Lullaby Til Dawn gelding and owns with Mike Lickert.
Aaron Merriman collected four wins and trainer Randy Bendis three on the 10-race card.
