Del. Table Gaming Bills Move Forward

Legislation which could lead to the legalization of table gaming at Delaware Park, Dover Downs and the Harrington Raceway and Casino in the state of Delaware passed through two legislative committees on Wednesday, January 20

.

According to a report by delawareonline.com, half of the two-bill package was approved by the senate.

The article goes on to say that House Bill 310 was approved by the House Gaming and Parimutuels Committee. House Bill 310 is the bill which would legalize the games and establish the tax rate. The full house is expected to vote on the bill today.

The report states that the senate overwhelmingly supported Senate Bill 188, which would make cheating at table games a crime and stiffen penalties on money laundering.
