Five The Magic Number At Kawartha

On Thursday, the fifth day of the week, one driver celebrated a five-win performance and one horse assembled a five-race win streak at Kawartha Downs

.

Kawartha's leading driver Gord Brown padded his totals with a winning spree, taking five races on the 12-race card of harness racing for five different trainers. Brown's wins came in Race 3 The Proxter (1:59; $13.50), Race 4 and favoured Blue Suede Shoes (1:54.2; $3.30), Race 5 aboard trotter Logan Aas (1:58.3; $6.00), Race 9 with 10-length winner Another Cowgirl (1:57.1; $13.30) and in the finale with Dragoninthesky (1:57, $17.60).

Brown is rapidly approaching the $15 million mark in lifetime earnings.

Five-year-old pacing mare Jinglejanglejingle won her fifth straight start, a $10,000 event for trainer Ken Switzer and driver Isaac Waxman who co-owns with Aaron Waxman. The Four Starzzz Shark-Village Jangle mare now has 10 wins in her career and has won at four different tracks during the five-race streak.
