Top French trotter Ready Cash continued his quest for a repeat victory in the Prix d'Amerique with a winning effort in the Prix de Bourgogne at Paris-Vincennes
on Sunday, January 1.
Ready Cash and driver Franck Nivard left from Post 3 behind the mobile starting gate amidst of field of 17 and took the lead early on in the 2,100 metre event with Main Wise As moving into second to his outside. Ready Cash began to pull away from his foes as the race progressed leaving Main Wise As to drop into the gapping two-hole. The Thierry Duvaldestin trainee drew off down the stretch for a dominant win in a mile rate of 1:53.3 over Main Wise As with Private Love further back in third. The winning time was new stakes record.
Ready Cash, winner of the first three of four Prix d'Amerique prep races (the Prix de Bretagne, Prix de Bourbonnais and now the Prix de Bourgogne), will head to the Prix de Belgique on January 15.
