Fraser Downs’ program of live racing that went postward on Sunday (Jan. 19) had to be abandoned after just two races.
The British Columbia track was initially able to conduct a couple races over a ‘sloppy’ course that was applied a two-second variant.
The track maintenance crew then ‘bladed’ the course in an effort to bring it up to par, but the action was not enough to bring the track up to snuff.
After consultation, the decision was made to cancel the rest of the card due to unsafe track conditions.
