Fresh off the claim, Red Star Cashflow turned a profit for his new owner with his victory in the $15,000 Abbetross A Claiming Series Final on a foggy Friday night at Fraser Downs.

The five-year-old No Pan Intended gelding was claimed by trainer-driver Brad Watt for $5,500 on Jan. 11 following a pair of runner-up finishes in series action.

During Friday's final Red Star Cashflow got away mid-pack, but rallied three-wide to take the lead down the backstretch en route to a 2:00 victory over the 'good' track. Back in the David McKellar barn after being claimed away during the series, Sabrina Sine's Red Star Governor finished two and a quarter lengths behind in second. Kg Mattattack, racing from the John Hudon stable after being claimed by Dr. James Findlay during the second round, finished right there in third.

Earlier on the card, trainer Casandra Uppal and driver Ed Hensley teamed up to win three in a row. Four-year-old pacers Dont Kid Me ($6.80), This American Life ($4.80), and Im Dynamite ($13.10) all emerged from the fog with the lead in their respective assignments giving Uppal a perfect night at the races. Casandra and Rebecca Uppal share ownership of all three winners.
