Glenfidich followed the pocket trip to victory in the featured $18,000 conditioned trot on Thursday (Jan. 18) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Looks Like Game On (James MacDonald) set the tempo through panels in :29, 1:00 and 1:29.4. Throughout each split, Glenfidich (Sylvain Filion) kept the leader in his sights as he followed in the pocket spot. After the final turn, Glenfidich had made his move and overtook the pacesetter. He continued home to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Looks Like Game On in 1:58.4. Doncorleone (Austin Sorrie) rounded out the top three.
Bob McIntosh trains the four-year-old Wheeling N Dealin-Amazing Adventure gelding for his Robert McIntosh Stables Inc., Mardon Stables and Craig Wallwin. The gelding earned his third win from 31 career starts.
As the 4-1 mild upset victor, Glenfidich returned $9.50 to win.
