The trip was tough and the finish was tight for Lucky Terror in Monday’s $12,000 Preferred #2, but the end result was perfect for the Shaun McDonald trainee

. The five-year-old son of Western Terror-Miracle Luck shrugged off a first-over journey to take home top prize in the Fraserville feature in a time of 1:54.4.

A :30-second final quarter was just enough for Lucky Terror to prevail by a neck over Pacific Warrior, with third prize going to Willies Place.

Sent off as the 3-2 second choice in the wagering, Lucky Terror won for the 11th time in his career and for the first time this season. The five-year-old son of Western Terror-Miracle Luck, who has banked $121,268 to date, is owned by Glenview Livestock Ltd of Wallenstein, ON.
