'Shadow' Champing At The Bit

Horses usually enjoy a little downtime, especially after having put in the type of year that '08 Little Brown Jug winner Shadow Play did. Although, if you think the black son of The Panderosa is lazing about, you're sorely mistaken

In the Friday edition of The Guardian, Doug Harkness reports that the four-year-old with $1.2 million in the bank is getting a little saucy. Harkness wrote that Shadow Play has, "taken his temper out on Dr. (Ian) Moore’s wife, Nancy, and the girlfriend of PEI Rocket’s Serge Savard, Jr., biting both girls when they visited his stall this week."

Dr. Moore stated that he and Nancy are planning a trip to Florida and that Shadow Play will be probably start jogging in mid-February. “He’s got about $4 million to race for this year, including the Breeders Crown,” Moore said.
