Atoning for a costly break last week, Run And Tell Pap blew past his stablemate, Hava Kadabra, and went on to an in-hand victory in Tuesday’s $20,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Run And Tell Pap was rolling along on the lead in his Jan. 8 contest when an unforced break took him out of the money. Tuesday, the six-year-old High Falls-Adeles Jade gelding returned to form for Brett Miller when he moved first-over from third, gobbled up Hava Kadabra and scored in 1:53.4. TSM Photo Bugger shot the Lightning Lane for second, while the pocket-sitting Fox Valley Smarty was third.
Ron Burke trains Run And Tell Pap, who extended his career bankroll to $312,561, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable.
Aaron Merriman drove three winners on the 15-race card.
