Corey Callahan, who leads the sport in purse money won in 2015 and the tight battle for first-place among North American driver wins, reached 29 seasonal victories after making the winner’s circle five times on Tuesday, January 13.
Callahan drove the feature-race winner, Touchdown Mindale, to victory in the $20,000-$25,000 4&5-Year-Old Claiming Handicap pace.
Harvey Eisman owns Touchdown Mindale, an altered son of Always A Virgin-Happy To Be Best that is trained by Nick Surick. Bettor And Bold (driven by Trace Tetrick) closed for second with Swift As A Shadow (Allan Davis) third.
Callahan’s other wins on the card came with A Wild Money Maker ($11.20), Good Feeling ($6.80), U B ($2.20) and On The Edgeofglory ($3.60).
