Blissfull Romance survived a demanding first quarter and easily disposed of the field in Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace.
Blissfull Romance was parked from Post 8 in a :27.3 opening panel on a “good” track. Once in front, the five-year-old daughter of Blissfull Hall-Draconian Promise experienced no serious challenge, prevailing in 1:55.2 for Dave Palone. Shine N Shimmer found late racing room to finish second, with Montenegro third.
Ron Burke trains Blissfull Romance, who won half her 18 starts in 2013, for Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Mike Wilder drove five winners on the 16-race card.
