After stomping his foes last week, Rollwithhottytoddy returns to Preferred action on Saturday, Jan. 13 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a 14-dash presentation kicking off at 12:30 p.m.

The $3,600 featured pace lines up in Race 13 with Rollwithhottytoddy leaving from post five for the connections of driver Myles Heffernan Sr., and owner-trainer Trevor Hicken of Montague, P.E.I. The Rollwithitharry five-year-old was a wire-to-wire winner in this class on Jan. 6, winning by two lengths over Blood Money.

Blood Money has post four this week with Ken Murphy picking up the catch-drive as David Dowling, last week’s driver, is on vacation. Ron Matheson trains the Sweet Lou stallion with the pacer looking for his 26th career win.

Three Trick Gainer has post one after a third-place finish at this level last week. Jason Hughes gets the driving assignment from trainer Saul Lanigan.

Burn Out Hanover jumps to the Preferred level from the red-hot Jeff Holmes barn with Brady Sweet listed to drive from post two.

Mantario rounds out the field from post three with Damian MacLellan in the seat for 2023 top trainer Jennifer Doyle.

The Post Time Picks are going with Rollwithhottytoddy: “Rollwithhottytoddy kept the hammer down last week and rolled along to an impressive win. That's the type of trip he likes, so if Heffernan can map out a similar trip, he could go back-to-back.”

Race 3 is the Happy Retirement Dustlanemissmolly Pace, also the Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace, for a $3,400 purse. The former three-year-old pacing filly track record holding daughter of Brandons Cowboy has had a stellar career on the East Coast including playing at the Fillies and Mares Open level with a number of victories. She has been recently racing at Plainridge Park in New England but has returned to her birthplace of Dusty Lane Farms in Cornwall, P.E.I. to begin her broodmare career with 37 wins, $201,136 and a mark of 1:52.1 over The Meadowlands to her credit.

Her retirement dash has the Hughes-trained duo of post four starter Sugar Bowl (Hughes) and next door neighbour Acefortyfour Dome (Mark Bradley) pegged on top. Also in the field are Stonebeachlily (Murphy), Outrageous Style (Adam Merner) and Chelski (Corey MacPherson).
