The Abbetross A Claiming Series continued on Friday night at Fraser Downs with Thieving Magpie and Hf Thanks Will winning a pair of $5,000 second leg divisions.

Thieving Magpie and trainer-driver Scott Knight delivered on their pari-mutuel promise with a three and a half length triumph in the fastest division, clocked in 1:55.4. The four-year-old Usher Hanover gelding, who was claimed during last week's opening round by Robert Collier of Victoria, B.C., will transfer back into the care of his breeder, David Woolley of Langley, B.C., after being scooped up for a price of $6,875 this leg.

At odds of 6-1, Hf Thanks Will turned back leg one winner and fan favourite Red Star Governor to win the second split in 1:57 flat by three-quarters of a length. James Burke drove the seven-year-old Armbro Trench gelding for Edmonton trainer and owner Murray Balbar.
