A new face popped up on the overnight sheet for Monday’s $13,500 Preferred Pace at Western Fair Raceway, and a three-wide move around the final turn helped him
keep the ball rolling for his connections.

The six-year-old Bo Knows Jate miss, who was assigned the seven-hole, parked past the 28-second opener before touching down on the lead and laying down fractions of :57.4 and 1:28 en route to the 1:58.2 victory over Stonebridge Celest and Michelleanas Angel.
Mike Whelan mapped out the winning trip for the photogenic mare, who went 17-for-24 last season. Sent off as the 7-5 choice, Headpoles R Us boosted her bankroll to $164,384 with the win.
Driver Dan Clemmer and trainer John Holding joined forces to pull off a 15-1 upset in the $10,000 Preferred-2 Trot with Long Ago, who rallied to a 2:01.3 score over Apeachtoremember and Mr Go.
Holding and Bryan Montgomery of Fergus, ON share ownership on the five-year-old son of Duke Of York, who won for the eighth time in his career. He has stashed away more than $110,000 to date.
A slowing pace helped Monster In Law engineer a come-from-behind tally in the $10,000 Preferred-2 Pace for the tandem of driver Alfie Carroll and trainer Don Beatson. The five-year-old Northern Luck gelding was seventh and last with a quarter of a mile to go, but his :29.2 closing kick was more than enough to propel him to the win. His 1:58.1 score came over Lifes Rocky A and Beach Boy Toy.
Beatson shares ownership on the 12-time winner with Ken Beatson of Toronto and Sandra and Ralph Pitt of Cargill, ON. The $5,000 payday helped the pacer push his lifetime earnings to $165,984.
