With Dan Dube at the controls, the six-year-old son of Cams Card Shark was allowed to settle into mid-pack in the early stages of the mile while Race Track Ruler served up wild fractions of :26.3, :53.3 and 1:22. Dube grabbed cover for Toucam Sam in the final half of the mile and then used a :27-second final quarter to power away to the impressive tally.

Trainer Mark Kesmodel and owner Larry Baron of Horsham, PA watched the pacer roll to his 16th career victory. The lion’s share of the purse lifted his lifetime loot total to $369,319.

Prior to Toucam Sam’s 1:49.2 winning effort, the tandem of Ramegade Bruiser and Bettor Sweet shared this year’s speed award thanks to their respective 1:49.4 clockings.
