Trainer Richard Moreau kicked off the 2013 season the same way he finished the 2012 campaign – with a four-win performance.
Moreau sent out a quartet of winners on the matinee program offered at Woodbine Racetrack on December 31, and earlier this evening he matched that feat with a four-win performance at Georgian Downs.
The O’Brien Award finalist led the nation in the categories of wins (344) and earnings (in excess of $3.6 million) in 2012, and it looks like he’s quite determined to retain those titles in 2013.
He celebrated the Tuesday evening triumphs at the Innisfil oval with Unlimited Victory (2:00.3), Crawfish Creek (1:56.3), Royal Artist (1:56) and Tymal Colossus (1:59.1).
To date, Moreau has watched his pupils bank in excess of $31 million. The Quebec native is just nine wins away from 4,000 lifetime victories.
