Whitemountain Sexy settled for a two-hole trip in the second race with Ted McDonald, who drove four winners on the card. The four-year-old daughter of Broadway Blue-Sweet As The Punch, also owned by MacMillan, came on to win in 1:59.2 by two and a half lengths over a snowy track rated two seconds off.
Roscor broke her maiden in the fifth race with Darrell Colville in the bike for owner Ross Bradley of Stittsville, Ont. The three-year-old daughter of E Dees Cam-J Js Red Robin front-stepped her way to a 2:05 score, winning by a neck.
Real Tight Genes also went wire-to-wire in the ninth race with McDonald between the wheels. The four-year-old gelded son of Donerail-Growth Spurt won by three-quarters of a length in 2:04.4 for owner Saul Mendelson of Montreal, Que.
MacMillan ended 2009 with 133 wins at Rideau and over $600,000 in purse earnings. The resident of Spencerville, Ont. will look to surpass the 1,000-win plateau this season. His training triple tonight pushed his win total to 971 and earnings to nearly $5.9 million.
