The Truro Harness Horse Owners Association is planning a fundraiser in support of Clare MacDonald, who was injured in a racing accident in Saint John, NB earlier this summer.

MacDonald is one of the most successful female driver/trainers in Canada and is much respected in the Maritime harness racing industry.

MacDonald's friends will be throwing a party on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Truro Horsemen's Club, located on the grounds of Truro Raceway.

The THHOA hopes to raise some money to help with expenses while MacDonald recovers. The organizers are inviting everyone who can attend this event.

A live band will be in attendance, and there is also an auction for many donated items. Stud breedings from Mantwo, Astronomical, Yankee Leader and Galantine Hanover will be up for bid. Interested bidders are to contact Tammy MacKay at [email protected] or 902-893-8475.

Bill Andrew from Meridian Farms has donated two breedings from any of the following sires:

Benvolio Hanover
Brandons Cowboy
Fit For Life
N Xample
Northern Bailey
PJs Nabby
SS Sand Dollar

Also, any ONE of the following three stallions (highest bidder) donated by Whim Farms of Atlantic Canada:
