The SC Sales department recently held an online qualifier for the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship. The idea behind this qualifier was to see what online handicapper was able to choose the most expensive stable of yearlings out of the 2008 Canadian Open Catalogue.

With over 150 entries from across the country, Nickolas Gallucci of Brantford, ON was crowned king of the catalogue!

Gallucci chose 10 yearlings whose combined sale prices equaled a whopping $471,000. The next closest contestant was second with $433,500.

Gallucci has won a spot in the TCNHC on Saturday, October 18. He has also won a stay at the Airport Marriott, along with meals and transportation to and from the $25,000 Championship to be held at Woodbine Racetrack.

There are still a few qualifiers to come, so if you think you'd like to try your luck and have a shot at the big prize, click here to see what's coming up in your area.
