The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society has announced that on Saturday it will be taking orders for the perfect economical stocking stuffer for all harness horse lovers. Also, Darren McCall and his wife, Annette Johansen, have made a huge donation to the OSAS cause.

Joanne Colville told Trot Insider this morning that McCall and Johansen have donated $1,000 to OSAS' 'Cowboy Christmas,' a dinner / dance / social gathering for horsepeople that is to take place Wednesday, December 10 at the Mohawk Inn.

A limited amount of tickets (200), priced at $25 each, went on sale yesterday for the Cowboy Christmas. The A deejay, door prizes, good food and fun will be on the menu. The dinner, which is in buffet format, will be served from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For more information, contact Joanne Colville at 905-339-6748 or [email protected].

In addition to the much anticipated Ontario Sires Stakes Super Finals, OSAS is giving standardbred racing fans another reason to show up at Woodbine Racetrack this Saturday night. Make sure you drop by the OSAS table in the grandstand, as limited edition, glass Somebeachsomewhere Christmas ornament orders will be taken. Actual ornaments will be available after December 5.

Only 400 of 'The Beach' Christmas ornaments will be available for purchase. Cost of the individually-boxed ornaments is just $12.

For more information or to place an order, contact Colville or the OSAS office at 905-854-6099.
